Sticky pork

Delicious Asian-style main dish of sticky pork with wilted gai lan.

  • 600 gram pork neck cut into 2cm pieces
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon chinese five spice
  • 3 clove garlic crushed
  • 2 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 350 gram gai lan chopped coarsely
  • 4 green onions cut into 4cm lengths
  • 1 lime cut into wedges


  • Combine pork, sauces, honey, sugar, sherry, five spice and garlic in a medium bowl.
  • 2 Heat oil in a wok over high heat; stir-fry pork, in batches, until browned all over. Return all pork to wok; stir-fry until pork is cooked. Add gai lan; stir-fry until wilted. Remove from heat; stir in green onion.
  • 3 Season to taste. Serve with lime wedges.
